Engagement Cake

I am finally back to blogging after a long break to be pregnant and have a baby!! I'm finding little pockets of time to keep up with things, so here we go!!!

This was an engagement cake that was made for my brother and his fiance for their engagement party. The flavor was vanilla cake with lemon, raspberry, and whipped buttercream filling. The design was constructed with fondant with a gum paste engagement ring and flowers. To top it off was raspberry mouse piped inside a chocolate cup. Everything on the cake was edible.

3 Tier Wedding Cake

This is a 3 tier wedding cake in White Buttercream. Cake flavors included Vanilla with Vanilla Buttercream, Marble with Chocolate Buttercream, and Chocolate with Vanilla Buttercream. The design was given to me by a photo from the bride, which I duplicated in her colors. This served 150 people.

The bottom picture is a separate anniversary cake which was Vanilla with Vanilla Buttercream. I was at this wedding so I was able to get a photo of the complete look of the cake table.

Ice Cream Cone Cakes

These are Ice Cream Cone shaped cakes for a birthday (which happened to be my husbands!!!). I couldn't resist testing out my new cake pan! Cake flavor was Vanilla & Chocolate with colored Buttercream frosting. Along side was an ice cream cake. It was a creative" ice cream and cake" affair.

Wedding Shower

I fell behind, yet again, with posting. Life happens....but here we go again.

Above are cupcakes for a wedding shower which were displayed on the tiered cupcake tower. Flavors included Chocolate with Vanilla Buttercream and Vanilla with Chocolate Buttercream. Each cupcake was adorned with a fondant flower. The colors were made to match the brides wedding colors. I will be making their wedding cake in August!!

1st Birthday Cake

This was for a first birthday which happened to be for one of my nieces! Cake flavor was White Cake with Strawberry Preserve Filling. The frosting was a whipped frosting. The theme of the day was jungle animals which was reflected on the cake. All the little critters and flower accents were handmade with fondant...including the #1.

The smash cake was also the same flavor with a handmade fondant candle for decoration. Once she figured out what the heck to do with the cake, she dove in. It was a great time, and a fun cake to make.

BTW, working on a pricing link which should be up in the next week or two. Look for it on the left side bar.

Hope everyone's June is off to a good, sweet start!!

Easter Cake Cupcake Pops

These are Cupcake Cake Pops that were inspired from a blog called Bakerella. I have been making Cake Balls/Cake Truffles for a few years now, and was thrilled to come across a more creative way to present these. The flavor on these particular pops were chocolate with buttercream frosting covered in milk and white chocolate. These were an Easter treat.
